SIA has wrapped up their summary of the most recent BLS report, highlighting key events such as the national employment rate remaining steady at 3.7% and temporary help services falling by over 17,000 jobs.
In addition, the BLS had a number of revisions for previous months, reducing the overall employment gains in September and October by 23,000. Gains in the temporary help services industry were also revised lower significantly by 53,000.
Overall, the US economy was reported as adding 263,000 jobs in November. These gains being mainly in leisure, hospitality and the government sectors. Retail and manufacturing show a relatively lower than normal hiring season as things begin to normalize in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
