It is well known that college students have graduated into an unprecedented hiring environment. Enticed by offers of unlimited PTO and remote work, Gen Z seems to be encountering never before seen benefits as employers scramble to fill open positions.
Entreprenuer.com has created a list of what they found to the most desired job traits by Gen Z. Their research found the top items included:
- Job purpose
- A healthy flexible environment
- A sense of community
Compared to their Baby Boomer parents, Gen Z seems less willing to sacrifice time for money. Avoiding burnout and valuing their mental health has become more of a focus as younger generations begin to shift their priorities. Understanding the needs of Gen Z should be of great importance for recruiters and hiring authorities as they are quickly becoming the largest portion of the workforce.
